Description
Our beautiful house is U shaped around a flagstone patio that looks out on a large koi pond and magnificently landscaped pathways winding through the property. The house has two bedrooms and two baths, a Viking gourmet kitchen with Travertine floors and marble countertops. You won't be disappointed! Attention to detail has been the compass during the 20 year remodeling and addition building process. The hot tub included looks out upon the Koi pond. It is 5 minutes to Albion center and 20 minutes to the town of Mendocino. The 2 bedrooms are large and airy. The Master bedroom, with it's comfortable Cal King bed, looks out over the koi pond The bathroom features 2 sink vanity with glass door shower.The 2nd bedroom is also very large with comfortable queen sized bed The guest bath has a large glass doored shower and bath tub. Both bathrooms feature beautiful natural stone counters and floors.
If you are trying to decide this property is right for you: If you are looking for a private, quiet get away where you can relax and rejuvenate, where you can plan to eat out in a nice restaurant or go to the beach but don't need to be walking distance to a town then our place is right for you. If you love beautiful gardens large, comfortable homes, privacy and quiet then you will love our home. If you have kids that enjoy nature and the out doors then you would enjoy our place too.
If you love traveling with your well-behaved, housebroken dog that you can let outside off leash into a 5 acre fenced yard then we think you will like staying with us too.
Children are welcome and dogs are considered on a case by case basis (Our pond does not have a fence surrounding it so young children must be monitored) Wifi is available but may be slow it and will not accommodate streaming or large downloads. It is mostly suitable for emails and surfing.
Cell phone service is intermittent. Verizon works best. ATT or US cellular will not work. There is a landline phone available for your use if needed.

Amazing peaceful place for our whole family
We stayed here here 3 night for labor day weekend with my wife, our 2 daughters (6m.o and 2y.o), my mom and our au pair and we all loved it, especially the overall peaceful vibe and beauty of the garden, and how clean, roomy, comfortable and the quality material of the inside. The adults were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine and the kids got some grapes :) Ron and Marylin were very responsive before and during the trip but we didnt need to contact them since everything was well thought for, with instructions and recommendations ready. Charlotte our 2 y.o even named one of the koi fishes "Camille" and came back to say hi and screamed her name every chance she had. She had such big smiles every time feeding the fishes! We just had to clean the pond skimmer once during the trip, which is a well described operation and such a small price to pay to witness those smiles I personally enjoyed the nice Weber grill in the patio, and the fact that is was just ready to go, with charcoal available and the small gas tank made it effortless to have it ready within minutes. My wife, au pair and mom loved that the hot tub was already hot and ready to use as soon as we got there, especially after a long drive from SF + traffic. Even though we didnt cook any big meals and enjoyed some good places around, the sweet Viking stove didnt hurt, and just added to the level of comfort we're used to at home. There were instructions in case you spill anything acidic on the beautiful marble counter, but being a bit careful and you wont have to. The heated floor in the master bathroom was a nice touch too.

Gorgeous scenic property
Middle Ridge Retreat is just that: a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place to get away from it all. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ron & Marilyn's lovely home in the woods, and appreciated the fact that it's just minutes away from Mendocino and other places we wanted to visit. Ron & Marilyn even provided driving directions, saving us time driving up from the Bay area. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! :)

Very enjoyable - quiet, peaceful. House was very clean however: the living room furniture (large cloth chair and couch) should be steam cleaned - arm rests, seats at the least; general lack of clocks was noticed (small bedroom clock and microwave aside) a kitchen and maybe a living room wall clock aren't vital but reasonable - even on vacation; I noticed you have power to the skylights - a quiet and DARK bedroom is very conducive to a good sleep. These are minor observations and take away very little from our enjoyment of your beautiful property. I'm sure we'll be talking again. Thx Steve, Victoria and Toby.

Amazing house and property

Relaxation Getaway
Marilyn and Ron's description of their home and property is right on and they made things so easy on our end. The photos just can't do it justice - the property and landscaping are amazing, and this is a gorgeous, comfortable home that brings nature in. We especially appreciated our dogs being welcomed with fresh water and dog treats! :) We would love to stay here again in the future!

The photos do not do this property justice. If you want to leave the world behind stay here. It is peaceful, relaxing and well gorgeous. The home itself is magnificent and the grounds are truly breathtaking. The owners have done a marvelous job of making their home feel like your home only much better. Paradise
The ultimate retreat! Perfect New Year's vacation for two tired mamas with 2 kids and 2 dogs. While we enjoyed the local wines, our kids and dogs also love exploring the beautiful grounds of luscious forest, manicured oriental garden complete with a koi pond! It was beautiful to explore during the day and then star-gazing at night in the hot tub--yesssss! The bedrooms were huge and very comfortable. We very much appreciated all the guidelines on how to maintain the property. If we had issues or questions, the owners were very responsive. The owners even left us some snacks, wine and dog treats! So very thoughtful. The Mendocino coast was only a 10- minute drive away. We would LOVE the opportunity to return again. Just a fabulous get away all around. Million Thanks!

Beautiful Retreat
So unusual and wonderful to find a home like this in the woods with a fence. We were able to enjoy nature with our little dog. It felt we were getting to stay at a friend’s private home while they were away.

Great Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Albion. No schedule and loads of beaches to visit. We relaxed in the hot tub, watched movies and played games. Our dogs loved it too - dog-friendly beaches and plenty of room in the fenced backyard to frolic.
