The cottage overlooks Netarts Bay, the Oregon Islands Wildlife Refuge and the Pacific Ocean. Eden's Garden is two stories, has three bedrooms and sleeps eight comfortably. Its on a bluff over the beach - with lots of windows and spectacular views. You can walk from the cottage directly to the ocean beach on our private path, or lounge on our deck, which overlooks the Pacific.

The cottage features a full kitchen, including a cook-top range, a microwave, a toaster oven, silverware, dishware, pots and pans, a coffee maker, a French Press, a coffee grinder, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer and a barbecue. We provide all towels and linens. There will be at least 2 HD TVs with premium DirectTV channels, Netflix and a Blue Ray player.

Sleeping cots and pads can also be made available for your use upon request. The cottage comfortably sleeps eight, and sometimes can accommodate larger groups too. All bedrooms have ocean views.

The area features some excellent restaurants, lots of wildlife, state parks, and many other different types of activities. Seals nest on sandbars offshore from the cottages, Great Blue Heron fish in the waters off our beach, Pelicans sail in the sky, and in the summer wild roses and lilies bloom in the yard. The area is known for Dungeness crabbing, fresh clams and oysters, fishing and whale watching, and is part of the Three Capes Scenic Route.

Netarts is a quiet, non-touristy village of a few hundred people. It's one of the closest ocean beaches to Portland, Oregon (75 miles, or a 90 minute drive). There are 2 small grocery stores a short walk from the cottage. Major services are available eight miles away in Tillamook.

terrific house

This was a terrific beach house for us! It's very comfortable, has a super view, the beach is great. We had fresh seafood daily courtesy of our clammers/mussel-ers and crabcatchers. The house is so well equipped, everything was clean and just where one would expect it to be, and we had a wonderful time. The house slept seven of us very comfortably, and expanded to have eleven at table for all meals, tho that was a bit tight. Wish we lived closer and could come back often. Thanks so much to the owners!

Exactly what we needed!

We stayed in July 2012. We combined the occasion of a family reunion with my daughter's honeymoon. We got a great deal on the Blue Rose next door. This property was perfect. I had all of my dogs. I was able to host my daughter and grandbaby, my other daughter and her friend, and myself and my husband. The property is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the view is SPECTACULAR! We had wonderful lazy days laying on the deck and cooking in the very comfortable kitchen. Tillamook is close by for excellent cheese and the home is lovely and comfortable. The only thing I would advise is that it's 98 steps to the beach, down a very steep hill and fairly rough terrain, even for seasoned Oregonians.

Eden's Cottage

Very nice spot on the coast! The pictures undersell the house - it's nicer in person. Quiet, comfortable and private. Beautiful views. Fully stocked. The kitchen has just about every pot, pan or appliance you'll need. There's even a big dog bed if you bring your pup. If you forgot anything and the house doesn't already have it, there's a nice store about 3 blocks up from the house. Tillamook is a 10 minute drive. The walk to the beach is a little understated. It's about 3 stories from the house. The stairs are solid and it's safe, but it's not going to be easily accessible to someone who isn't great with stairs. The beach itself is great. Very quiet. Booking was a bit of a pain and the owner could have been friendlier, but overall we were very satisfied especially for the reasonable price.

lovely location and views! (but not for anyone with physical limitations)

This location blew us all away (family of 10 traveling!) It is lush and beautiful with a "secret garden" -esque stairway to the beach. The house is well stocked and that made for a more enjoyable time. Little store nearby was perfect for any last minute needs. Balcony/Porch was perfect for morning coffee or for reading and wine. The pictures do not do this place justice. My only caveat is that there is only one bathroom and its downstairs with all of the bedrooms upstairs. It does not mention this and had I known I wouldn't have been able to book this due to my parents traveling with us and that floor plan being extremely difficult for them.

The place was perfect, gorgeous view, immaculate

We came for Christmas, the owners thought of everything, I have never rented a place that was stocked so well with every item you might possible need the only complaint I can think of was it took a long time to heat up the house when we arrived we could see our breath inside, but wanting to save on electricity bill made that understandable the private 90 stairs down to the ocean were very well maintained , the house and bedrooms were very cozy and so clean, the view from every room was outrageous, the details down to the giant dog bed very thoughtful, the owner got back to us right away when we needed the code to the cable TV we plan on returning soon I highly recommend this beach house

Beautiful, family friendly home

We had a great time. The home was beautiful and well appointed. The community of Netarts is charming. The beach was a perfect place to play with my young children. We had a lovely and relaxing time.

Perfect Coast Vacation

Edens Garden Cottage had everything our family needed for a relaxing coast vacation. The views from the deck and two of the three bedrooms are spectacular. Private access to a beach where one can walk, safely play in the water with little kids, and dig for clams at low tide made it fun for all ages. The house is stocked with everything needed for preparing meals plus a small grocery store a few blocks away for any last minute items.

Stunning views, lbeautiful garden, lots of wildlife and beautiful home.

We had a great vacation in an awesome setting. Beautiful home with unbelievable views. Nice beach walk to wonderful restaraunts in Oceanside and Netarts. Exploring the rocks at minus tides was impressive. Great opportunities for hiking in nearby state parks. Kayak Tillamook provides great kayaking tours.

Perfect!!!

Edens Garden Cottage at Netarts was wonderful!! The view and access to the beach are perfect. The home is very comfortable and relaxing. I would stay here again. Thank you Doug for having the perfect place to celebrate my 60th Birthday with family and friends.

Great views, great location!

The house is literally where Netarts Bay and the Pacific Ocean connect - and at a private end of the row of house along the cliff above the beach with well constructed stairs (though a few) to access the beach. Three bedrooms upstairs (two with view, one without), no bathroom upstairs. One large shared bathroom for the house downstairs. Kitchen is completely set up , don't bring anything. Owner Doug is super responsive and kind. Great being in the triangle of the Three Capes - definitely check out all beaches - stunning! Cape Mears Lighthouse and Cape Lookout are exceptional! Thanks Doug for working with us to stay at your lovely house!

Great for our family getaway.

House was large enough for our family of 12. Had a great time. Owner Doug was great. Also met Mary whom takes care of the property very nice. Would recommend this property, beautiful views.

No bathroom near upstairs bedrooms

The bedrooms are upstairs and the only upstairs bathroom available has been converted into the homeowners private area. The stairs are made out of hardwood and have no carpet runner or tread. The rules requested that we remove our shoes when in the house. My wife fell down the stairs the first day sliding in her socks (no shoes) And hurt her arm pretty good. of course we needed to sleep downstairs for the rest of the trip. The "premium" mattress in the hide-a-bed that is claimed in the posting was 3" thick and the hide-a-bed was so trashed that we had to put the mattress on the floor. Also, I planned my trip around the bay and being able to use their kayak and canoe that was advertised. There was an old kayak but no canoe and no paddle. They also advertise an electric fireplace in the living room not that we needed it, but being honest is always the best policy. the entire experience would make us reluctant to rent through in the future.
