I needed a clean quiet environment to write and find peace, and I found it here. The cabin was clean and neat; very easy to locate household products commonly used. The decks were perfect locations to give me different serene views. No city noise, I truly capture great moments of peace in front of the fireplace, and it's warmth indescribable. The cabin had all the amenities I needed which was a surprise compared to other resorts i visited. Flat screens TV's in all the bed rooms with DVD players, my kids will love their rooms. Overall you can't go wrong staying at this cabin, alone or with family which will be my next adventure.
This was the second time I stayed at "The Cabin in the Woods" and I plan on coming back a couple times a year. The house is absolutely lovely and has everything you need for the perfect vacation. I grew up in Trinity County and there is nothing better than coming home. The last trip was over the 4th of July and we had 10 people ranging from 2 years-old up to 78 years-old and everyone was comfortable and happy in the cabin. It is a short 10 minutes into Weaverville and 10 minutes to Halena (our favorite swimming hole). I got the pleasure of meeting Mark the owner and am thankful he is willing to share his home. I would recommend this to all my friends and family and hope you will enjoy this beautiful spot in the future.
I really enjoyed my stay at the cabin. It's really more of a house. It's nicely decorated and all appliances and amenities are tastefully done. There's a nice deck to sit on in the evening and watch the stars. I meet Mark, the owner, and he's a really nice man. I had a great time and will be returning soon.
First timers, not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. Cabin had plenty of space for all 7 of us, included 77 year old active grandma! Enjoyed having coffee and a bagel on the rear deck every morning, actually had the privilege of seeing a dear pass through the property one morning. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates, pots, pans, coffee machines, everything you use at home for daily living. Having 3 kids and spending lots of time at the river produces lots of dirty clothes but it was a breeze because I was able to do my laundry at the cabin. We had dinner together every night which was wonderful because when we vacation at hotels you tend to eat out a lot which can be very expensive. Also, hotel continental breakfasts are during certain hours, at the cabin, after a long night playing games and just enjoying family time, it did not matter what time we woke up, we were able to have our coffee and bagel at our time! Trust me, our family has done it all, camping in tents, hotels, motels, rv's....this has it all beat!!! You want a real restful vacation away from the crazy city life, looking for peace or a place to unwind.....look no further...you have just stumbled on to a little peace of heaven!
Very clean, spacious, and comfortable with all the conveniences of home, and great decks!
This was my first visit to the Weaverville area, but I will be returning regularly as one of my sons now lives there. I will also be a regular at Mark's cabin. It was so very comfortable and spacious. I was there with all four of my kids and one of the days we had a bar-b-que with many of my son's friends. We were very comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. I highly recommend it!
We’ve stayed in several homes in Trinity Co. through vacation rental service and this one suites a family well. The kitchen was equipped and stocked with spices etc. The room and bedding arrangement was good for the kiddos. It was in the burned region of the fires and a little outside clean up would have been nice so the kids could do their exploring without playing in soot and charcoal. But the river was a short walk away and always offers an adeventure.
Very comfortable and family friendly. Lots of open space and windows. Very private, well-stocked in terms of towels, kitchen basics, etc. Owner very friendly and responsive. Excellent for relaxing. Nearby Weaverville is fun to explore--lots of history. We felt very sorry for the devastation of the fires in the area, but found the neighbors and the community amazingly resilient. Definitely recommend for a relaxing family getaway.
My friend and I we all like this cabinet. The bedroom is really nice and a huge living room + dining room to hang out. The owner knows this area pretty well and provides a lot of useful information on how to spend the weekend in Trinty.
