This home, built nearly 100 years ago by a lumber baron for his family, has been completely renovated for your enjoyment. The house is surrounded, and hidden by 2 acres of mature trees of all kinds, which were collected from around the world by the original owner.
The spacious living room and dining room has the original beautiful curly redwood wains-coating, window framing and built-in cabinets and is separated from the gourmet kitchen by a see-through gas fireplace, for added warmth and charm.
Each of the 5 bedrooms in the house are large and each has a private bath and a TV. There are wheelchair ramps and wheelchair friendly bathrooms to the main level..
There is a 6th bedroom, a cozy studio, with its own outside entrance but connected to the house. It is private and is separated from the main house. This studio is available to rent also but is not included in the price for the whole house. The bed is a daybed that can be 2 twins or 1 King.
Included in per level Tier Pricing, the BAR/GAME room for your group has a wet bar, pool/ping pong table, poker and bar tables, small couch and big screen T.V./ DVR/DVD, 2 half bathrooms (one wheel chair friendly) located in the daylight basement. This room is great for parties, gatherings or just fun for the group. If you are having an event and inviting a large number of other guests for a certain day you will be required to fill out an event contract and pay an extra fee.
PLEASE CHECK OUT THE RENT CHARGE CLOSELY, the Sample Quote is for only part of the house. I wanted small groups to enjoy the house too and not be scared off by the price of the whole house. In by doing so the Sample Quote just picks up the lowest price: the MAIN level with just 2 bedrooms /w 2.5 baths and the BAR/GAME Level /w 2 - 1/2 baths. Which can sleep 8 very comfortably, for $500 a night/ cleaning $200 For the WHOLE house, Which includes MAIN level + BAR/GAME level + UPSTAIRS level, which has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths at $700 a night and $300 cleaning. It is not my intention to misrepresent the $700 per night for the whole house and the Cleaning for $300. If you need any help
with deciding how many rooms and levels you will need to accommodate your group, I will be happy to work with you so you get the best configuration at the best possible price, I can then adjust the sample quote for how many people and or bedrooms you will need in your group,.....

Also the Studio is priced separately, $100 a night/$ 25 Cleaning. So another possibility could be that you need only 3 bedrooms, So you would book the MAIN level with BAR /GAME at $500 a night and the STUDIO at $100 a night (you won't need the Upstairs level), with a total of $600 a night and $225 Cleaning.
I want to keep the price down for the smaller groups as much as possible so more people can afford to stay and enjoy this warm and enchanting property while experiencing the North Coast and reuniting with friends and families.

clean and very spacious with a private driveway area where the children loved to play
We were a party of 16. Most of us had our own bed and bath. The large kitchen and dining area were great to gather around and when anyone was tired, they just retired to their own room. Thank you for the great space and for accommodating our group!

Spacious Accessible Home Perfect for Family Gathering
Our experiences was excellent from start to finish. Ruth was always quick to reply to our questions. This home was perfect for our family reunion! We all had our own bedroom and bathroom, with plenty of space for us to all gather in the living room, at the family dinner table and enjoy the beautiful view of the bay and the gorgeous sunsets every evening. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed so we could relax and enjoy home cooked meals and everyone's company. The main level has two accessible rooms, and was perfect for our guests with wheelchairs. This place is amazing for any family gathering or celebration you can imagine. We would definitely come back and stay again! Thank you Ruth for giving us a beautiful family memory by sharing your home with us.

Great House for the family
This is the second time we have rented this home and it continues to exceed our expectations. We threw an 80th birthday party and had many of the family attend. There was plenty of room and the kitchen is great for a large group. We will definitely be renting again.

Amazing time in a beautiful home. The home was more beautiful and fun than we imagined.
6 couples wanted a long weekend away to embrace our friendship and this home fit us perfectly. The laughs in the huge living living room, the morning coffee and mimosas in the huge kitchen and watching the big game while others played pool and darts.. this home was perfect.. and 6 bathrooms? Amazing! From the moment you pull into the driveway, you know that you are about to be wowed and we were. The rooms were each special in there own way and everything was comfortable and in great shape.. the hostess was very responsive to all our questions and called to make sure we all arrived safely. We are already planning our next trip back!!!

This was an amazing and beautiful place to gather our extended family for our 40th Anniversary celebration. We love to cook together, so the massive, completely provisioned kitchen was the main gathering place. We moved a kitchen table into the dining room and were able to seat 16 for a classy formal meal our last night there. The rooms were lovely and having that many bathrooms was extraordinary! We loved how well stocked the entire house was, with everything from folding chairs to light bulbs. We had an epic nerf gun war. The only problem was all the breakables we had to move before we started and then replace! The double coffee maker next to the double sided fireplace was a favorite spot for pj gatherings in the mornings. Many happy games of pool were enjoyed, and our drinkers loved the well provisioned bar, complete with mini fridge and dishwasher! Overall, we would highly recommend this home. It is full of personality, but has been updated enough to be warm and comfortable. I think our only disappointment was the separate entrance apartment being a little damp smelling and not quite as beautiful as the main bedrooms. Even so, all16 of us found very happy places to rest, the beds were great and the walls are unbelievably soundproof. We had rowdy screaming games in the living room, that the grandkids sleeping upstairs never heard! Thank you so much Ruth for all your help! She was cheerful and available to answer all our questions.

More than I expected.
Felt like home. We had a large group and there was plenty of gathering areas for teenagers and seniors. The kitchen was well stocked. No TV in living room ?????????? The outside area was good also but due to a rain storm we could not enjoy it. Watch out for mosquitoes!

Amazing place
This house was more than we expected. It was very charming and had that home feel to it. There were plenty of things for the kids to do as well as the adults. We will definitely keep this place in mind in the future.
