Enjoy the charm of old Mexico at the Villa de Cortez condos, located adjacent to the Palmas de Cortez Hotel grounds in the sleepy village of Los Barriles. As a guest at the condo, you have full access to all the activities and services offered by Hotel Palmas de Cortez, which include world class big-game fishing, winter time wind surfing and kiteboarding, diving, snorkeling, zipline, excursions, ATV, kayaking, sunset cruises, executive 9 hole golf and spa services. Though the East Cape region is world famous as literally the best place to catch a striped marlin, and one of the most economical big game fishing destinations anywhere, it also has much to offer the entire family.
A quaint friendly safe community exists in Los Barriles, and with many restaurant and shopping choices in walking distance, you do not need to rent a car. However, there are wonderful areas to explore if you do have a vehicle, such as the Cabo Pulmo Marine Preserve and reef, or the nightlife of Cabo San Lucas.
This MASTER SUITE condo is located on the THIRD floor, south corner unit, providing sweeping unobstructed views of the pool and Sea of Cortez. Enjoy sitting on either of the two balconies watching the boats return from the day’s fishing, or relax by one of the pools in a scene right out of a Corona commercial. You can be as active or as relaxed as you want in Los Barriles, where you will feel that you have entered a time warp into old Mexico, almost as Cabo was 35 years ago. There is free Wifi in the room and hotel lobby, so you don’t have to lose touch, unless of course you want to.
The town of Los Barriles is located just 40 minutes north of the San Jose del Cabo airport, with plenty of taxis for transportation or rental car options. This condo is unit 1302, and features a king sized bed, fold out sofa, air mattress, travertine floors, granite counters, kitchen, refrigerator/freezer, wine cooler, washer and dryer, flat screen televisions with dish network service, dining room, and relaxing chairs on the balcony.

Wonderful unit in a great location!
This unit was nicely equipped and we really enjoyed our time there! We had stayed at Villas de Cortez before so we knew it was a great place. Bill's unit was lovely and totally lived up to our expectations. We never got the tv working, but it wasn't a big deal since the wifi did. We rented an ATV again this year for several days and had a fantastic time exploring the beaches! Still love eating at Trinny's and El Viejo.
Wonderful place, Wonderful stay!
My first time in Mexico was an absolute thrill and I couldn't have been happier that I chose to stay at Villas de Cortez. Bill has an amazing spacious unit that overlooks the Sea of Cortez. Opening the sliding doors onto the porch and just sitting back and listening to the waves roll in was one of my favorite morning pastimes. I also am one to always have my laptop, iPad, and cell phone nearby so having access to wifi in the unit to allow me to use my devices out of the country was a major plus for me. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances. My family and I would buy food from the Supermercado down the street and cook in the unit or use the grill down by the pool area. The swim up bar and bar area in general is awesome! You have to try the pina colodas that Manuel, one of the bartenders, makes! They were a hit for us our entire stay. What is so wonderful about the Villas is that you have a quiet laid back private area for only you and the other guests who are staying at the Villas. Villas guests can also use the Palmas de Cortez pools, game room, continental breakfast, and bars right next door but guests staying at Palmas de Cortez do not have access to the Villas. There is so many activities you can do that are right near the Villas which made it a great location for me! We went ATVing, snorkeling near Punta Pescadero, took a charter boat out fishing right from the resort, drove to La Paz to swim with the sea lions, and so much more! Plus a lot of much needed rest and relaxation. I couldn't highly recommend staying here more, it is a home away from home settled in a beautiful and fun filled town!

Wonderful Stay
Bill's condo is great. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats come in and out. We had a great time out on R&B and got a striped marlin, a tuna, and a rooster fish! Everyone staying at the Villas de Cortez was super friendly and Pedro the property manager helped us out with whatever we needed. The condo has everything you need to cook in or make drinks and sit by the pool. We were the only family with young kids, but everyone welcomed us and even offered us sashimi and drinks one night by the pool. Bonfires on the beach were lovely. We rented ATV's and parked them right outside the condo and always felt very safe no matter where we went. We would love to come back again soon.

Great villa
We loved this condo. It's in beautiful condition and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is great and very well appointed. We loved the views from the third floor. The TV's etc., appear to be new but we never turned them on because we were having too much fun!

Great Location in Los Barriles
We were fortunate to have an extended stay at this lovely Condo. Third floor views of the Sea of Cortez are amazing. Enjoyed watching the sunrise. The condo is super clean and very well appointed. Everything was in great working order. The onsite property manager was very helpful with suggestions and very attentive. Bill the owner was quick to respond and answered all of our questions. Very easy to work with. The location is perfect as it's within walking distance to town and most restaurants. Miles and miles of beach to explore. Watched the fishing boats come and go. Our favorite restaurant was La Casita's, but make sure you find Cafe Maria's too. Venture down the beach to the bar at Rancho Buena Vista, which is from another era. We had an amazing time and hope to return very soon to this special place.

The 3rd floor was perfect, best views to watch the fishing boats coming back. This was our 7th time down to LB and it just never gets old. The condo is very comfortable and if we needed anything Pedro was there to help. Gracias Bill for allowing us to stay in your Home Away from home?????

Great Place to Stay and Relax
Extremely clean and perfectly described. Condo is spacious with great view from the living area and bedroom. Well stocked kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. Quality lounge chairs surround the walk in pools and one pool is swim up to the hotel restaurant bar. Friendly staff at condo (Pedro) as well as at the bar and restaurant. Would highly recommend.
