Description
Large house with 6 bedrooms, 2 downstairs and 3 upstairs, with a large den, and living room.
1 minute from beach on the grounds of a beautiful hotel in Tulum. Great location to explore the ruins, restaurants, cenotes and all that Tulum has to offer. Great for family or group of friends. Rustic style but comfortable.
You have the best of both worlds by having privacy but also the support of the hotel staff.
The space
Downstairs large spacious living room, patio with partial sea view, 2 bedrooms downstairs, upstairs has master and living room, den and two rooms we use as smaller bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Lofty ceilings nice light.
Guest access
You have full access to the hotels restaurant we also have available yoga classes, fitness classes, massages, tours, bike rentals. The house does not have access to the dipping pool of the hotel unless you do the daily beach club. It is normally $20 per person but for anyone renting the house it is $10 per person per day. You can put a towel on the sand and access the beach for no fee but this fee applies if you want to use the installations of the hotel.
Also to note there is a safebox inside the house to lock belongings
Other things to note
Just to note the house is not beachfront but is just a 1 minute walk to the water on the beach side of the road.
House is near a yoga studio, so there is no blasting music allowed during the two yoga times along with mentioning that there can be loud music from the cardio classes for 2 hours of the day from 10:30 - 11:30 and again from 4:30 to 5:30.
There is AC in all of the bedrooms and 1 in spacious living room/ Dinning room and fans in the others, it can only be used when you are inside the house.

We enjoyed our stay in Melissa’s home
We enjoyed our stay in Melissa’s home – it was super spacious, convenient and great for a big group. Pros: Location, connection to hotel & hotel pool/beach is KEY. Cons: “Eco” also meant a few issues with bugs + A/C for our group We stayed in Melissa's home with a group of 12 ladies – so we used all of the space! The location is great, there are cute shops nearby and it’s off the main strip where you can walk to restaurants; it’s a bit further from some of the more popular spots, but it was easy to grab a taxi from the house when needed and there were plenty bikes available on grounds. It worked out perfectly to have a home that we could have to ourselves but also have easy access to a hotel on the grounds. The hotel staff was super helpful all the way from check-in to check-out. The pool at the hotel was a sweet spot for us. The vibe of the house is very bohemian Tulum; nature’s paradise. Communication with our host worked out well – upon arrival, I was set me up on a (Hidden by Airbnb) chat with her and another ‘helper’ who could answer questions, etc. When I couldn't reach them, we got help through the hotel staff which was a good alternative. The ‘nature’s paradise’ was really apparent with a few issues we had during our stay: The A/C wasn’t full force in all rooms (some are colder than others no matter the setting). And one night, there was a quick power outage (no biggie), but a few rooms had no A/C until the morning when someone could come out to help. Another morning we woke up and the toilets did not flush; though they came to see about it promptly. Lastly, our biggest issue was with bugs in the house. It is Tulum so we expected bugs all throughout as other visitors have stated. But there was an isolated issue in the main bedroom on the first floor. In the evening, there were dozens of ant-like flies on the walls, in the bathroom, on the floor. Staff came in to spray and sweep but they would just reappear within the hour. We were told it was due to this particular time of year, but there was also no way to get rid of them, so this was a space no one wanted to sleep in. The nets in the rooms upstairs were a nice add. Besides the bugs, no huge complaints. Overall: This was a great spot for a group, just beware of how ‘eco’ you want to go. Thanks for the visit!

The house was overall fantastic and comfortably
We had such a fun time at Melissa’s place. The house was overall fantastic and comfortably held 11 of us. The proximity to the beach and all the amenities that come with the Amansala hotel cannot be beat in Tulum!
