Hidden gem!

I cannot say enough positive things about the location of this cabin! Set steps away from Lake Michigan gave us an almost oceanfront feel and the accessibility of an almost white sand beach made our trip over the top. The cabin itself is rustic, comfortable and accommodated our family of three adults and toddler well! The beds were comfortable as was the living room furniture for those evening family movie nights. Yes the cabin is smaller but we expected that, and in all honestly it was perfect for us! I would recommend Kay a thousand times over for her hospitality, ease of check in and exit from the property and the lovely bottle of local wine! I wish I could keep this little piece of heaven for myself but encourage people to stay here...you will not regret it for a minute! Also for piece of mind, yes the local cell service sucks but the WiFi provided at the cabin keeps you in touch with the world if needed ;)

Steps to sandy beach! Great location.

My family stayed for a week in mid-July & wished we could have stayed another week. The cottage is steps from a sandy beach which makes it so easy. We also strolled down the road to well maintained public hiking trails. We were so glad we brought our bikes and able to ride straight from the cottage along some of the marked scenic routes. Having twin 10 month olds who are constantly on the floor crawling I packed my own cleaning products but found it immaculate. There was a slight miscommunication between myself & the owner but they were wonderful and made everything right. The kitchen is small but the table was big enough to seat six which really helped. It's very open which was great for our family. There was a first floor bedroom which was perfect for my the older members of the family. The bathroom is small but kept up and had hot water on demand so no fights about who gets to shower first. Beds, pillows and linens were very nice and you could hear the waves crashing on the beach at night. It's not far to the town or to a grocery store but yet felt totally removed from the hustle and over done touristyness of some of Door County.

Simple, friendly, fabulous

We had a great time at this simple cottage in a well-established & friendly neighborhood with a stunning/fabulous view of the lake and gorgeous sandy beach for walking, relaxing, or swimming, .

Wowed.

Very cute little cabin. My wife and I brought our 2 kids 14, 9 with us. The shower smells like metal water but way better than smelling like well/egg smell water. Taking showers were ok. My kids had a blast. Waves on the lake were awesome. The fireplace just be careful due to not that good vent so the whole cabin will smell like a fire. The wall heater went out, I called in the morning and Kay called me back to let me know someone was coming to fix it. Very good on her part. I loved the views on driving around. All n all if you want to go away from the big/small city come here. Next time we will be going upper otherwise it'll take us about an hr or long. But it was well worth the money.

Memorial Weekend

The cabin was what I expected. Small but comfortable. The bathroom is very small but worked out just fine. The beach was beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed. Could have used a few more beach chairs and perhaps some beach games. We brought our adult children so bag toss would have been fun or rings.

We can't wait to go back!

Our week at the cottage was amazing and too short. We are already planning to go back next year! Kay was so accommodating and shared tips for our stay. The cottage was just what we needed, as we didn't intend to be indoors except to sleep. We wanted to explore the peninsula and the beach. It was prefect!

Cozy cottage right on the lake michigan!

There was some confusion with the property manager about which cottage was the one we were staying in, but that got straightened out and Kay refunded us the cleaning fee with the mix up and the fact that linens had been left because they the cleaning crew thought we were staying in the other house. But once that was settled it was great, we could walk right on to the beach which was very private. We had all we needed and there was wifi so we had phone service with no problem! The property was nicely decorated and the landscape around was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Door County!

Fantastic location, awesome beach, great place for stargazing!

Awesome property so close to Lake Michigan. Excellent beach that the dogs loved. Met some lovely fellow renters, awesome time making s’mores on the beach and stargazing. No cellphone coverage so great for the away from it all experience, and slightly temperamental satellite TV which really helps you focus on making new friends, great conversations and excellent local wine. The only negative was the bed, we found the mattress soft and uncomfortable...but that’s a personal choice! Overall the property was the perfect size for the two of us and our two Goldendoodle’s.
