WHAT TO EXPECT: This light-filled, lower-ground floor apartment with private gated entrance is part of a listed historic building that sits opposite the private garden of Eccleston Square. Everything needed for day-to-day living . . . cafes, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, green markets, bakeries, health food shops, pharmacies, dry cleaners, and international newsstands . . . are all within a 2-10 minute walk.
 
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Greenhaven is newly refurbished by European architectural & design firms, air-conditioned/centrally heated and fully-furnished with a mix of contemporary and antique décor. By London standards it's very large (625 square feet) for a one-bed, one-bath apartment. It's designed with the idea of bringing the look and feel of the garden inside with a calm natural palette sparked by carefully placed bursts of color. Sixteen foot high ceilings and large windows in the main living/dining area contribute to its very open, light and airy feel.
 
LIVING/DINING AREA: The main living/dining area has a table with seating for four. There is also a comfortable king-size sleeper sofa and single bed sleeping nook to accommodate an additional 2-3 people. The furniture is set in front of non-working fireplace and a built-in wall unit/library with a large selection of books on London, as well as English history and culture. This flat lived up to our expectations, and then some.

We were eager to try living in a flat in London, rather than in hotel rooms. And I must say, our expectations were met, and exceeded. The flat is very well appointed and has everything you need. Centrally located, just a 5 minute walk to Victoria Station, shops, pubs, etc. the flat is great. We were able to save quite a bit of money by eating in the flat on several occasions. The adult beverages are very thoughtful, and the coffee maker is wonderful. We were a family of 4, with 2 adult boys. The day bed worked well, and is very comfortable. The TV is a smart TV and we were able to stream a show from a device to it via You Tube. The only caveat I would give is that the stairs down to the flat are narrow, and if you are mobility impaired, this is not the place for you. That issue is not nearly enough to keep us from coming back in the future.

quiet, peaceful, lovely space

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Paula's place. Perfectly located, easy to get around. Quiet, lovely. Paula is a perfect host, attentive and caring about details. We felt immensely provided for and appreciated that after a long journey. The amenities in the house were accessible and plentiful. The interior design is smart and attractive. Wifi is excellent. The bed is enormously comfortable, while only a double, which we were grateful for. As one other reviewer mentioned, the stairs down to the apartment are steep so if you're carrying heavy baggage it can be a tiny bit difficult. We certainly managed even with 7 heavy pieces. We'd certainly be glad to come back for a visit!

Great flat in London. We were extremely pleased with the accommodations. Close to the Theatre district and the underground. We would definitely stay again.
