Just above the town of Oakhurst, you will find our special oasis on 14 private acres, with a seasonal creek, fresh clean artesian well water, and abundant wildlife. Deer and turkey frequently visit.
Family Friendly. Everybody loves the game room with air hockey, ping pong, foosball table, and darts.
Hike on our property, and enjoy the beautiful rock outcroppings. By the house, you'll find a special rock used by natives to grind acorns.
Follow the path to the large granite rock, and watch the gentle stream of water from our seasonal spring creek. You'll notice some shimmering gold specks if you pay close attention.
You'll want to stay in Oakhurst for the conveniences. We have several drug stores, and an urgent care facility should you need one, as well as wineries, brewery, distillery, an assortment of eateries, shops, art, and special town events.
Visit a rodeo in Coarsegold, or your luck at the casino. (about 20 mins drive.) Or drive to Mariposa about 40 mins away, and stroll down historic streets. Eat at Charles Street, and then stop at the Mariposa coffee roasters on your way back (about 1/2 way) to watch them roast fresh delicious coffee. Visit the gold rush museum or go zip lining.
Pack a picnic, and rent a boat, or jet ski's and ride the lake. Or just find a cozy spot on the shore to swim or kayak. Hike beautiful Lewis Creek, and gaze at the waterfalls. Or just sit out on the deck and watch the birds by day, and stars by night. The peace and beauty will make you never want to leave.
We are equipped with comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen, internet, TV programming, we even have Alexa to tell you how the weather is or play your favorite tunes.

Great property
This home was perfect for our family vacation to Yosemite and the owner was excellent to work with. The deer in the front yard every afternoon were a bonus we all enjoyed!

Great property
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Heaven's Gate. Sunday was quick to answer any of my questions or requests, and was a great host. The property itself was large and beautiful and we were able to play in the snow all around the property without having to leave for a snow play place. The house was well stocked with supplies in the kitchen, and the game room was a nice addition that we spent a lot of time using. There are many grocery stores and food places within 10-15 minutes of the house, which made it very convenient to cook our own food at the house. The only complaints were that the downstairs heater in the living space didn't work consistently, and using the fireplace made the whole house (especially downstairs) smell like smoke even with the heater off. I highly recommend this space for families or couples to stay at!

A Wonder Place for Families
This is our second time staying at this cabin and there is a reason why. Actually, there are a number of reasons why. First, all of our families can comfortably be there together without stepping on each others toes. We had nine children and the game room and outdoor area were seriously a wonderful place for our kids to play. They spent hours between the two areas. Second, Sunday (the owner) takes care of the place and it is a nice stay with a fully stock kitchen for cooking meals which was important to us. We love the location because it is close to a number of trail heads and the views from the balcony at sunset are a real treat. Lastly, Sunday is an engage owner who is helpful and responsive when communicating. We will be back again!

Yosemite Family Trip July 2019
Our family stay at this property was an excellent choice. Close to Bass Lake, Mariposa Grove, and Yosemite valley. easy drive to any of these locations for day trips. Sunset views from outside patio was spectacular as were stars at night. Our family group had 10 adults and 5 children and the house easily accommodated us. The property owner Sunday was easily reachable and was a joy to work with. This property is highly recommended.

Great Stay
My family of 5 had a great stay at Heavens gate. The house is spacious & comfortable. The sunsets off the back deck were incredible. The proximity to Yosemite & Bass Lake were perfect for our schedule. Would recommend this property to anyone! Hope to visit again one day. Yosemite National Park is jaw dropping gorgeous!

Great family trip to yosemite
Large property in beautiful location, 10 min to grocery stores and restaurants and 30 min drive into Yosemite park. Clean and tastefully furnished, the kids loved all the amenities like ping pong, foosball, air hockey, etc. 9 of us and we had room to spare. Definitely recommended.
