Description

3 levels. Living room & kitchen on 1st, bedroom & bath on 2nd, sunroof on 3rd
Guests are sure to enjoy "Casa JAZ" - a fully furnished, 1 bedroom/ 1 bath, apartment located one long block east of the Rio Cuale/Emilano Zapata "Old Town", in the Mexican neighborhood/colony El Caloso.

The first level includes the living room with a couch (futon) that folds out into a bed to accommodate another guest. There is also a high end electric inflatable queen size bed in the event you have up to four guests (Bed sleeps two). Also, on the first level, the kitchen is equipped with all major appliances except a dishwasher, as well as anything needed to chef-up your gourmet meals, if that's your thing! It's fully stocked with a microwave, blender, juicer, coffee-maker, pots, pans, utensils, etc...

The 2nd level bedroom has a full-sized (matrimonial) bed, bathroom, huge closets and adjacent balcony overlooking the complex's courtyard and neighborhood.

The top (3rd) level is an open air patio where you can catch some rays or sit under the parasol and relax with your favorite book. The view of the mountainous surroundings is extraordinary on this level.

Casa JAZ is located just one long block outside of "Old Town" in the beautiful colonial "Caloso." It is only eleven short city blocks to Los Muertos beach (ten minute walk) and is conveniently located only four blocks from a traditional Mexican market where you will find restaurants/taco stands, meats and fish, and fresh fruit and vegetables (so inexpensive it's almost free!) There are also an abundance of shops, bars and quality restaurants within walking distance and drop off laundry a block away. The city bus stops 1/2 block away and takes you through Old Town and El Centro to the neighborhood of December 5 for only 8 pesos (about 50 cents US).

The complex in which Casa JAZ is located is gated. There are twelve units that share a central courtyard. Most of the tenants are expats who work in the restaurant industry as owners, chefs, servers and marketers. The neighbors are wonderful and helpful.

This property does not have air conditioning, but stays cool with several fans (provided) that channel the mountain breeze and a tree that shades levels two and three during high sun.

Beautiful Casita

This is a private little casa located in a quiet little Colonial. Nice exercise to walk to town while visiting the shops along the way. Be sure to enjoy your stay at Casa JAZ!

We like this apt !

This is a lovely place , full of garden plants . Pretty good WiFi , no AC no screen , so it would be hot in summer time especially at night , many mosquitos , they do bit a lot ! some wasps but they seem do not bother too much if you just leave them alone . Neighbor’s Lovely kitty would like to visit the apt once a while if the door is left open...all the neighbors are very friendly . Very real local life experience, very close to the nature, a good way to learn a different life experience, my 13 years old son loved everything expect the mosquitos. The owner and manager are super friendly and very helpful , we enjoyed staying and liked it ..... we would rather to stay here again if we can do better to deal with mosquitos ....
