This charming studio casita has everything you want in a home away from home.
Casita Gallina is a free standing house located in a private Compound overlooking the Santa Fe River on a quiet street in the Historic Guadalupe District. This authentic adobe is centrally located and within walking distance to downtown Santa Fe, the trendy Guadalupe St., Sanbusco Center and the Railyard District. It has a "Walk Score" of 92.
Casita Gallina is a bright and open studio. Old world charm is reflected in the original hand hewn vigas, thick plastered adobe walls, wood floors and a kiva fireplace. A luxurious Queen bed is built into an alcove with a direct view of the kiva fireplace. At the head of the bed an east facing antique leaded glass window welcomes the morning sun and opens onto the patio garden area. In addition, is a single sleeper sofa and a full kitchenwith everything you need for light fare or a gormet meal. The bathroom has a shower, tub and washer/dryer. This casita is thoughtfully and tastefully furnished with local artifacts and all of the comforts of home.
The private yard is surrounded by garden beds. An outdoor table and chairs are shaded by a traditional Ramada, a great place to plan your day or relax after a day of touring.
Casita Gallina is a stroll to just about everything Santa Fe has to offer, restaurants/bars, theater, galleries, shops, Railyard District, the Farmers Market, the main Plaza, Georgia O’Keefe museum and the Railrunner Train to Albuquerque. Meanwhile the casita is located in a quiet historical neighborhood and overlooks the Santa Fe River with a walking score of 92.
The casita has a designated off street parking space as well as parking in a gated area. Bicycles with helmets and locks can be provided upon request. Casita Gallina has been thoughtfully furnished with all of the basic amenities to insure you have a most pleasant holiday in your home away from home.

Just as I was hoping it would be!
We found this place to be all we had hoped for. It is clean, unique to New Mexico style, walking distance to the square. Loved having the fire place! Elderly people might find it difficult to enter and exit the bed as it fills the nock it is in. I hope to return some day.
