Tastefully decorated with cottage style furniture and bedding. All the conveniences of home in a beautiful mountain setting at 3,300 ft. We were a little skeptical at first because we have never rented a suite in someone's home. The suite was the most well-maintained (clean) and well-stocked. The owners have thought of everything to make a visit comfortable and welcome. The location was convenient to the Maggie Valley Country Club and to restaurants. The front deck was a great place to relax and nap. We will most definitely rent this site again. Recommended for: Age 55+, Romantic Getaway A home from home up a big hill 5 of 5 Submitted: July 5, 2012 Stayed: June 2012 On arrival we were welcomed by Stan and Diane and shown the suite which was immaculate,the cleanliness is a tribute to hard work done to present a suite to a very high standard.What is provided for your comfort,enjoyment and entertainment,TV DVD Internet access and more area information leaflets than you will have time to read.What could be nicer than opening one eye in the morning a looking out the mountain scenery,opening both eyes.Breakfast at the table on the deck to start the day or a beer while rocking in the chair is a nice way to end the day.The only things you need to take is food for breakfast and a camera,we saw chipmunks,rabbits and lots of birds around the house.If you are visiting Maggie Valley get in touch with Stan and Diane.It was a pity we could not stay longer than we did but would be very happy to return. It was down stairs in the same house as the owners but we hardly knew they were there, The unit was clean and all we could ask for was provided. It was very nicely appointed and the view as you look out of the unit or from the poarch is absolutely beautiful. We could have stayed the entire time without leaving the apartment and it still would have been a great trip. The owners have even provided a couple of binders showing local restaurants (with menus) and things to do in the area which was a great help. We found ourselves overwhelmed by the find in this rental. The views are spectacular, the location very central to the events and attractions we were there for, and the suite itself was very neat, inviting, and roomy. Many details of the area were offered by the Holdens, who were more than welcoming; going the extra mile to make the stay memorable, they were the perfect hosts. Welook forward to coming back. The views, the privacy, the central location, and the king size bed were great reasons to return to this suite. The dinner at Frankie's was yummy, We also lunched in charming Waynesville. You gotta see the Wheels Through Time Museum as well. Cooking on the charcoal grill that Stan and Diane provided, (they even had the charcoal!), was a treat as well. “Perfect!”
This was the perfect place for just the 2 of us! It had everything we needed and more. Stan and Diane are wonderful hosts and do a fantastic job making sure you have everything including info that you will need. You will never know they are there but theyre only a phone call away! I will stay here next time!!

Gorgeous view of the Smoky Mountains
Incredible location. Every morning my wife and I would wake up and immediately look out the window at an amazing view of the mountains. Stan and his wife were very gracious hosts. There was so much to do in the immediate area. My only regret of this vacation was not spending a full 7 days in this area (also stayed in Asheville, which is a cool spot but I would rather just drive there for the day).

THE VIEW!!!! To have a toddy after all day exploring the mountains/festivals and rock while having the most amazing view AND having your coffee with only the birds singing its a wonderful place to get away and still go and do alllllll the things you want to do.

Paradise
AMAZING! Stan and Diane have thought of everything to create a mountain paradise. I truly thought I’d died and gone to heaven when I walked onto the porch and saw the views overlooking the Great Smokies. The suite (with the same wonderful view as the porch) had all the amenities of home. Stan and Diane, thank you for sharing your slice of paradise. We will be back! ??

Stan and Diane were great folks. Even invited us to their 4th of July celebration and fireworks display view. They were ready and willing doing everything to accommodate any needs. We even used there personal washer and dryer after extended stay. The drive up was a little challenging,but got use to it ..........

Great place, small but every thing you could want. The view fantastic I could live there.Maggie Valley is small but very close to so many places.
Awesome views, private and secluded, but still close to nearby attractions.
Stan and Diane were awesome. Very helpful with area restaurants and attractions. The suite is perfect for 2 adults. Very clean and the kitchen is stocked with high quality kitchen ware. The sunrise on the deck is stunning. They have a grill and even provide charcoal and lighter fluid. This was the most relaxing get away we have had in a long time. They book up quickly, so book early!
Knockout View & Lots To Do
The Holden's Suite is one our favorite places to cool off during hot Savannah, Ga, summers! We've been going there for at least six years. Upon each arrival, we marvel at the gorgeous view from their Mt. and the tranquility of the suite. The Holdens are the consummate hosts. They are most congenial and provide more information/books on activities/restaurants in the Maggie Valley, Waynesboro, Asheville, Smokey Mts. area than you could ever do on one trip. Although they live on the floor above the suite, they live quietly and give you total privacy. The suite is very attractive, comfortable and well equipped. They even provide some kitchen staples and lovely bath products. The deck in front of the suite is huge and provides a wonderful place to read, dine and relax. We are world travelers, but we always enjoy our week in the NC Mts. in Stan's and Diane's charming suite. Show less
AMAZING MOUNTAIN GETAWAY
We could not have been happier with any other location. It is perfect for a couple looking for all the comforts of home at the price of a hotel. The difference is when you wake up you are looking out over the mountains. Our hosts were very gracious. They provided an extensive book containing recommendations for places to eat and attractions to visit. They were there if needed, but respectful of our privacy. The location is just minutes from town and several great places to eat. A short drive through town and you are driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. You have to visit Water Rock Knob. The views are stunning. If we return to Maggie Valley (and we will) we will not consider staying at another location. Thanks Stan & Diane

We had a wonderful and relaxing time. Not only were the accommodations top notch, but Stan and Diane were great too. After coming home one day (my birthday) from hiking, we found a cute little cake waiting for us. We were able to get together with them the next night and share it, along with some wine! We will be returning!
